Appointment #7

Today was a quick & easy appointment. I finally got to see Dr. G (the doctor that delivered Katarina). I like him so much. He came in and was so nice and it's just such a warm feeling to know that your doctor remembers you and even remembers the birth of your child. He's probably done hundreds of deliveries so it's neat that he remembers mine. He asked how Katarina was doing and when I told him she was 2 years old he told me he couldn't believe it - it seemed like just yesterday!

He listened to the baby's heartbeat and measured my belly. He didn't say anything about my gigantic size (something everyone else on earth feels the need to comment on). He said they got my blood results back from the 1 hour sugar test and everything looked good. For some reason though, my urine had sugar and protein in it today but he wasn't worried since the sugar test was so recent and came back ok. He did tell me that my iron levels were low (surprise! surprise!) and wants me taking iron pills since I am anemic.

That was pretty much it. I think writing this blog took longer than my appointment! I do have to start going every 2 weeks now. Which is unbelievable to me! I can't believe that having a baby is just around the corner.
